Awesome way to grow closer to Christ! Review by Matthew

self-help book? Review by Therese P
This book has a Protestant approach - using a short passage of scripture; followed by reflections (written by the author, not Church doctors or saints) that are "all about me" -- like any other self-help book, only with a Catholic title; then followed by a short prayer (again, drafted by the author himself, not classics that reinforce Catholic identity), 100% of which are written in the first-person, "me, myself, and I". Feels/sounds Protestant... or rather "Catholic-lite" since it does address some Catholic doctrine, such as the priesthood. (but it's all about how "I/me/myself" think about the priesthood, not what Holy Mother Church says about her) (Posted on 1/18/2014)

I really enjoy this book. I think Patrick does a great job at interpreting the bible verses (in short form) and really puts things in perspective. Great to read right before going to bed and to reflect on how well we're following the Lord's message. Highly recommend it. The cover is also very attractive. Great gift idea. (Posted on 5/21/2013)

Daily meditations are needed! Review by Patricia A Kennedy
This is an incredible. We had purchased the 150 Verses every Catholic should know and KNEW that this book would be even better. I ordered 9 to give to each of our family members for Christmas, get it into their hands and when the day comes that they need it, God is there. Is wonderful, thanks to Patrick Madrid for another opportunity to bring God into our lives! (Posted on 12/19/2012)
